Ye it's just poor writing with everything. Mark Hamill called his new character Jake Skywalker, you can tell he doesn't like the films.

My first thought when they took it on was I hope they don't ruin it.

It was overly PC and had that bizarre anti-capitalist subplot.

It's Hollywood/ the BBC who have to put messages in everything instead of just delivering entertainment.

All I saw was Disney using an existing story line to make them money.

At least ep 1 had pod races and a robot army what did 7 have original? F all it was all brought back from 6th film

40 years passed was it after empire had fallen and no new space ships f me they must have had one long drawn out space rexit for no growth, hell even storm troopers looked the same space rexit must have damaged both sides.

Talking about storm troopers weren’t storm troopers clones of that bounty hunter so how can they be individuals?

Wasn't paying that much attention to the modern Lucas ones but I don't think the clones worked out or something because the ones in the original trilogy and since then aren't clones.

Disappointing with it, seemed like they think they can churn anything under the Star Wars banner and make money.....and guess what they did!

    The subplot was certainly bizarre.

And ye the Empire stopped using clones for some reason, It's explained somewhere either books or the tv series.
