I would have him back if we were interested in him.
A lot of fans didn't like or rate him.
Certainly made a difference in midfield and he could take a good penalty as he did against Leyton Orient.....A winning one.

I've got a hunch that PW won't go for Smallwood.
I think PW offered him a new contract, probably on reduced terms though, and he took his time making up his mind and then ended up saying no.
Our Manager might be thinking that if he didn't show a willingness to stay then he's not for us.
Can't blame him for taking more money

I’m not a big Smallwood fan crooks is better in his position also we don’t really play the diamond formation much. As for him in central midfield there are loads better than him we need someone creative who can dominate the midfield.

Also I’d like to mention signing him when he refused a contract where others took one for the team may not go over well with players like woody mattock and price who took a dip in wages.

    Big no from me

He didn't play many games last season and for me he is league 1 at best.Warney will be looking for better quality than Smallwood. UTM.

He has always divided opinion. I would like to see him back at NYS. When he left he sent in a letter thanking our fans, so i do not think that his commitment to the Millers would be questioned. He wanted to stay in the Championship and also got more money. He always gave 100% on the field and did a lot of the dirty work needed. He would also protect the defence and I think he is a better bet than McDonald.

One thing Smallwood was good at is breaking up play. He didn't shine at much else.
Lindsay could do the job with a good run in the team though crooks, Lindsay, wiles and barlaser (if he comes back). Which would you remove to put Smallwood in?
