As a thread it's a good read (raging barely able to contain his joy at coming second and looking to building on Corbyn's success), but check out post 51 where some loony sets out his choices for next Labour leader as Chuka Umuana and Rebecca Long-Bailey - a very talented young lady.
Yikes, he likes (liked?) Richard Burgon as well.

Their new Shadow Chancellor Anneliese Dodds doesn't look like much of a prize either.

Mind you, the Tories aren't much better.

I think it's safe to say that the brightest and best don't tend to go into politics anymore.

Yes. A good "gotcha" from Kerr but a bit strange. And 3 years is plenty of time to revise an opinion.
What I can't forgive him for though is resurrecting LBJ blathering on about how brilliant we were against Newcastle . Although any thread from that era would have included similar posts

Do you think Kerr might be accused of stalking?

Seems evidence can be found on footymad.

IF it exists in the first place 😂
My point was howdy look how it turned out amongst the so called left wing of the Labour Party and Brexit .

Corbyn , Abbott , RLB and John McDonnell all sold out on Brexit eventually .

Nobody but nobody with left blood running through their veins would have done .

You can't sell out on that it's like the tories selling out on market economics .

They put it in their manifesto in 2017 that brexit had to be delivered , stood on it and so invited the electorate to vote on it .

Then promptly did a u turn on it .

Many blame Starmer but I'm not so sure myself because Corbyn , Abbott and McDonnell were far more senior than Starmer when the u turn unraveled , so it's a debatable point .

    I couldn't vote for them in 2019 , not a chance .

They may as well stood in the court with Gina Miller for me and gone down that route in the end .

I supported this lot until they turned out to be just the same as everyone else in the party and sold out on membership of the EU .

I don't why he remembered this post - perhaps he'll tell us. Certainly a bit weird on the face of it. If he is keeping some sort of dossier that would be a concern.
Of course I understand why you're asking me this. You've obviously picked up on the fact that I am not big fan of obsessive posting against fellow MM posters.

Labour sold out on the EU/EC in 1988.

Blair and Kinnock both wanted to leave the EC before that and the official Labour Party policy was to leave.

Kinnock and his family have since done better out of the EU than anyone.

Blair promised two referendums and delivered on neither of them .

True there are some lightweights in the Tories

Labour though have a bigger issue with it.

    1. They have less MPs to choose from
    2. They have to have a quota of female or black or BAME in their shadow cabinet regardless of aptitude
    3. Corbyn and his cohort are " don't go there
    4. Anybody that's anti Semitic is barred

So doesn't leave many does it?

    RLB's Brexit Position

    2016

The EU is not perfect but needs reform from the inside , fair do's recognises there's a problem with the EU .

    2017

Starts to adopt a remain position on the back of the 2017 election , ah so a late influx of support at the ballot box has altered the EU has it ?

    2019

We just didn't listen to our voters and we've paid the price , no shyte sherlock Rebecca , some fecking principles might have helped .

That's three different positions in 3 years on a one way or the other debate .

In or out of the EU ..... end of .

Political lightweight , left wing my @ss .

So who the bleedin hell put this fake up as the left wing candidate ?

Answer ..... because none of em are left wingers , sell out merchants or don't even know what left wing means .

Your supposed to be fighting neoliberalism not hanging your hat on it you total set of clowns .
