In the meantime I see another striker we were strongly linked with - Steven Fletcher - has opted for Stoke. Pity, good player...you have to wonder what is going on.

RA I was disappointed that Fletcher went to Stoke I think he's a very good player Just the type to replace Martin . I know a lot of fans don't rate him because he lacks pace but he's got a brain, and great finisher especially in the air . I see we are linked with Gregory of Stoke not what we need he has always done his scoring playing of a big man . I hope we are not that desperate he's not a patch on a fit Marriott

After the Hart move was hijacked at the last minute I hear the Rams are signing Marshall from Wigan.....

Ah yes Hart was pondering on a move to Derby, on 80% less wages and then Spurs came in with an offer!

Hart was never coming to Derby except in the minds of some journos (though the DET never actually said anything other than he was a free agent and available) and fans with unrealistic ideas about what the club can afford!

Marshall seems a sound signing and could be good for our younger keepers.
