    Thank God that's over

I'd like to say that this is the first time that I've felt like the final game ending was 'being put out of my misery' however it's become the standard/norm as an NUFC fan.

I've never been so miserable or felt so negatively about the club since before Rafa came to toon.

The 5th place fluke was the only previous highlight.

Sadly these days the summer is sweet release from the misery of the league season.

Euros? I don't care about England in general. No NUFC players in the Squad managed my a crock nosed penalty balloning, big match choking, Smoggy C**T. Zero f**ks given, even less interest.

With this owner and this manager, I won't be here next season.

Just had enough, not in an angry way, just apathetic and know that I'm throwing away 90 mins of life every week on something that doesn't matter any more. My heart just sank as I typed that because it's the first time I have actually seen the words and admitted it to myself.

God bless bonnie lads and lasses

Aye, it's been the strangest of seasons for various reasons.

For me, Bruce has over-achieved getting us to 12th but has spent the season telling us we're a bottom half club and need to accept that.

Fuck that. I don't mind where we end up (within reason) as long as we've given it a good go and have tried (as in. we haven't set up not to lose games, etc). It's about hope and having some ambition and, yes, realising where this club could be rather than being told to accept where we are.

I'll still watch us, still talk about us, still dream about winning something...and hope that some day it'll all change for the better.

Until then, although I won't go back until fatso's gone.... they're still my team...and yours and they're as much a part of me as breathing.

It's what we do, man. Give in to it.

It’s not possible for me to be excited by the football at the club while hope and ambition are no existent. Any victory, even when against a good team, doesn’t get the adrenalin going anymore because you know it’s not a step forward, just a flash in the pan.

I liken my support to an engine. It’s still on but has been idling for several years now and will only start accelerating again and get back to normal when he’s gone.

Probably most of you are like me in cursing the day that ‘it was decided’ that you supported NUFC. You’ll never support another team and so the choice is between this suffering or abandoning football totally. Surely, things must get better in the future?

I think our only hope is if the takeover gets revived...we all know what to expect whilst Ashley owns the club

What hope has the takeover, when the PL keep asking for (and the court keep granting them) more time to prepare themselves....

Getting more time to explain why they needed so much time to begin with....

    Phucking mental

...know what you mean Raga. I can honestly say I have enjoyed the banter on here more than most of the football. The last month wasn't bad but really not great, 12th place put a bit of gloss on but take Willock, Saint and Wilson out and we were gone.

Seeing Cabbage's latest comments during his post match at Fulham: Steve Bruce hopes critics eat 'humble pie' after strong finish

Managers get credit when they 'MANAGE' with out their top players and still put out a competitive team who still show fight, guile, ambition and determination.

That is where credit and respect are earned/won. Against the odds.

Not when the team picks itself, the player make.up their own tactics and you beat the teams at the bottom of the league who are supposed to be beaten easily by a club who's from line cost 100£ million.

The man is a fraud, luck rather than judgement has lead us to the 12th place finish and the only credit is due to Graham Jones, the gaol keepers, Matt Richie & Joe Willock.

Shelvey is a disgrace to the shirt. Jokelinton is an embarrassment. Hendrick is not a football player yet seems to be paid to pretend to be one. Kraft? What?

This is cabbage heads fluke season much like Pardew's 5th place finish, lucky to be in the job!

I dont want another season with Ashley. Bruce stays if he is the owner. On the other note Bruce and his media friends will be banging how good the end of a season was. 9 games, 5 won, 2 draws and 2 losses. Only bad game was 0-2 Arsenal. That is an top6 form. It doesnt matter whos credit it is. We werent bad.

Cabbage with be spouting all that nonsense to the Penfold and that C**t who runs Ashley's life, that he knew how it would all work out and that everything went to plan. He just needs a couple of more players to get them into the top 10.

He won't leave, he's too arrogant and thinks hes better than he is. He will think he deserves the new contract coming he way. He will believe that he's performed a managerial master class. He will genuinely think we should be very grateful that he has performed a 'miracle' to get us up to 12th.

We all know it was due to the failure of other clubs and poor management. 8 worse clubs than us rather than us being better than 8 clubs. Yet that is not the way this smashed crab faced C**T will see it.

Ashley's team won't fire him as he did a great job for them finishing 12 allowing Ashley to stick 13million more quid in his fat back pocket.

It's more of the same next season.

All the pundits in media and the social media channel are all saying 'rebuild needed, NUFC have a busy summer ahead of them.'

I end up shouting at the screen everytime I hear that $hite "NO THEY DON'T, THEY ARE GONNA DO F**K ALL THIS SUMMER."

Like the Summer after Pardew Fluked 5th, we brought in only Vernon Anita. I will be astonished if we do any more business than Willock on another loan deal.

Unless the take over goes through don't expect anything at all in the transfer market. At most it will be another awesome set of signing like the fraud Hendrick.

F**k this pi$$es me off so much
