Even Grimsby where we burgled a win really.
I share your concern Jacob regarding our away form, that plus a lack of obvious replacement for Wootton are my two big worries. Although know doubt IB has prepared for this circumstance and has a system/approach in place.

This is a major reason why we will finish in the playoffs come end of season.

Isn't it just, I'm glad you remembered those early days too as I'm sure many do. Don't also forget he was criticised as to where he looked during interviews and what he wore.

I really like Charlie Slater and his style of commentating but without doubt he was needlessly frosty towards him in those early interviews whenever we didn't win a game with some harsh, pointed questions to the new manager. The contrast to how he questioned Ardley after a draw/defeat was clear to all. Unsurprisingly that's changed now, much more balanced and positive.

So many posters on here assuming we're the poor also-rans in the National League, that anyone can come along and just waltz off with any player or the manager just as they wish, leaving us weeping and wringing our hands in sorrow.

I think a lot thought he was too matey with Ardley- he changes his stance and then is too frosty with Burchnall!

Sometimes you can't win. Whether he was too frosty or not doesn't really matter now - he was a ***** cat compared to a certain podcast!

    I agree with your sentiments.

Of course we now have an ethos of developing players and selling them on for a profit - but that is not only at the right price but also at the right time, including when a replacement is lined up.

I don't think anyone thinks King's Lynn or Weymouth - or even Daggers or Bromley - are going to waltz off with any players.

But there's one club in the division backed by very very rich owners, and another that seems to have so much money for certain things (only) that it's hard not to raise an eyebrow. When we talk about offers we can't turn down coming from clubs in our division, let's be honest - we're talking about those two clubs.

I love the stability and thoughtfulness our owners have brought (and think it'll serve us better than the apparent strategy of the second of those two clubs), but they are not in the same ballpark of wealth as Wrexham's owners.

Agreed - makes last weeks' result even more satisfying.

Their manager (at the moment) though imo isn't in the same ballpark as ours!

Their owners may be rich, but do they have the depth of knowledge and a strategy like ours have - and do they have the patience that may well be needed to get out of this league?

Good questions. And yes, it's funny - while I'd love Notts to have access to that kind of money (and for real, this time) - I'm not sure I'd want to swap the Reedz and IB for Reynolds and PP.

Still, I'd be happy to see Wrexham promoted through the playoffs behind us as champions.

I don’t think anyone knows how wealthy our owners are, it’s too hard to say if Wrexham are wealthier or backed better than us…we’ve only got wages and transfer fees to go off.

I’ve a feeling based on not much at all that our owners are much wealthier than many on here think.
