On transfers in,There”s what we want,what we need,and what we can get…

In terms of numbers we can only name a 25 man squad..so it depends on injuries length/retuning..any players leaving/left out of squad ,…add of course having one eye on next season likely a level down..there’s a lot to factor in and as easy as some suggest..

Coming out with those figures is ridiculous.LR is not daft,he knows what parameters he has to work in.However,we already had a depleted squad and on top of that allowed two loanees to go back so we are well below the level we need to be.

So before he sent back the 2 loans would you say we need at least 3 players to replace the long-term absentee. Which is 5 players. Then there's the lack of wide players so that's 7. Not so ridiculous after all

Do you really think he is asking for 5 or more players? I think he is an intelligent bloke that knows the club constraints and means he knows what he needs within those constraints. He doesn’t come across to me as a man that isn’t living in the real world.

Didn't say he was asking for that amount of players. Millerbill said LR knows what he needs. So if LR is buying/loaning in this window it's surely to keep us up. He prob knows we need more than 5 players to achieve this. How many players do you think we need and how many do you think we will sign?

I only listened on the radio yesterday and it sounded like a good battling away performance with a bit of structure to the team that missing in the first half of the season.

It was the perfect (almost) away battling performance from a bottom of the league team. Can't fault any for the goal against.

Got Kioso back for Dext. Fred though he'd be out before new manager took over needs replacing.

I think I mentioned on a previous post what I think we need, but to answer your fair question. I think we need another CB (loan) to free up revan to fb or Odoffin to MF. We have 4 CBs due back at some point so I would not buy one in this window, only a loan. I think we need pace up front in wide areas, especially if we are going to play counter attacking away from home. I would like to see two players brought in to do this, as they can also cover midfield if required. I think it is key to convince Kioso to stay until the summer with a promise to be open for him to leave then. I would send Kelly and McGuckin and/or perhaps Bola out on loan. We are net 1 down already so 2 more out leaves spaces for 3 in.
I am not sure this will happen, but I would hope TS would back LR that much, because the net financial outlay is not huge in that model. Just to add I do not think recruitment is easy, however it is fair for the club as employers and us as fans to expect the professional recruitment experts to deliver in their jobs.

Fair assessment though personally I wouldn't be bringing in a CB. With Humphrey/Blackett, hall back on the grass I would use Morrisons, peltier and odoffin in rotation
as you mentioned send Bola, mcguckin out on loan though again depending on bramhall injury Bola could cover at lwb away from home. I would keep Kelly, though LR doesn't play him so prob best to go out to free up the space. I would also leave fergy off the 25 man squad if we need the space for additional loans.
We are desperate for wide counter attacking players and pace. 3 players imo should be a minimum, 5 players if LR/TS want to have a real go at staying up.
Can we go back in time and find a barlaser, chio, frecks type players who are ready to go

Tbh j81. Playing 3 at the back at home imo is not the best way to go. It keeps us tight but offers very little in goal threats. Another fit CB and 2 wide players would offer LR an option to change it around and become more offensive at home.
What we have is ok away with the option from the bench later in games
