VK keeps talking about what he sees on the training ground and how hard everyone is working.

Fine but he needs to think about what he sees in matches and the effort, or lack of it, during matches.

I think I am right in saying that a player cannot be offside from a throw in. Yet for one of Arsenal’s goals their player was totally unmarked, received the throw in and went on to score. How basic is that? Who should have marked that player? Why are they playing in the first team?

I have already mentioned this S_c. How can a professional footballer allow an opponent a free run on goal? How come an alleged EPL defender does not know the offside rule?

Just WTF goes on at Gawthorpe all week?

Come on BT, players not knowing the Laws of the Game ---obviousy they are in the market to become pundits so they do not need to know.
Only thing to remember these days is that the ball is totally unimportant, therefore, don't challenge for it because you may endanger an opponent by doing so, because you are reckless, out of control or using excessive force.
Is this the game you and I played for many years without serious injury, even though I was playing three times per week at times as you said that you were? The game is well and truly cattle-trucked!

Holgate had a reckless moment for the Blades yesterday and got a red card following the dreaded VAR check. I've made that type of challenge a thousand times in the past but listening to young Redknapp you would have thought the lad had just bombed Tel Aviv!

Our Ramsey got cleaned out right in front of the referee and the lad acquired what looked to be a very serious injury. No whistle, no VAR check, no red card. The inconsistences are alarming.

The Hungarian commentator couldn`t believe it BT especially after their soft penalty.

What about the three players we signed in the January transfer window Army. They went straight into the starting eleven. What are your thoughts on that? I just asked Sinkov the same in another tread. Is it great scouting and recruiting? Seems to me VK has no faith in his current players. That will make any player doubt himself, the system anything the manager is asking of him. To me that looks like our biggest problem. A driven manager who always wants to build and improve, win, conquer etc is exciting at first is my guess, but then very unsafe as things start to go wrong as they will in the premier league.

Nobody in their right mind plays a team of young, unproven talent every week in the EPL and expects success. It's absolute insanity, or extremely naïve at best. It doesn't even work on a computer game.

I simply do not believe that within the clubs management team they are expecting/planning to stay up. It's the only logical explanation for everything we are seeing. Young players thrown straight in. Manager under no pressure. Persevering with under performers... Nobody can explain any of that, unless you're not bothered about this year on the basis of a longer term plan.

If i found out otherwise, i'd be chaining myself to the goal post in protest about the ownership.

It’s a tough one Will as from both sides of the coin as we cannot defend ( up to know anyway - Saturday aside ).
We have tried Dakhil - Ekdal - Beyer - O’Shea - Vitinho and because of injuries and inconsistency’s I suppose the full back was a given to try and in fairness he looks Ok - the young centre back I take your point but I can only assume Ekdal and Beyer aren’t available and Dakhil has been bullied when played previously- so we don’t know but it was a lot to ask of a young man to come in and be expected to play at a higher level than those around him.

( I watched with interest as he stepped out of defence with his head up looking to play a pass and because there weren’t any offers for him eventually had to play a ball to no one as Arsenals press was crushing us ( several times that happened )
Fofana was I supposed forced upon Vinny as Fosters done one again - in whatever context people want to take that.

So I kind of agree re the centre back as not only is it a massive ask for him it’s a kick in for Ekdal and Dakhil unless injured of course.

After I watched 94 mins even I went home tbh as we were inept imo - what I will say though is Rice is the best defensive midfielder in the world and he simply out read - out fought - out played our central and forwards to such an extent that odegard was allowed so much time and space he thought all his Christmases had come at once.

They were slick as an outfit and left us no where to go at all.

After their first corner our zonal marking and attempt to protect Jimmy ( for a change ) was absolutely clueless havertz was stood on his own with two more while we huddled like schoolboys, and in open play havertz could have had 4 at least first half as we just let him walk into spaces.

My real balk at that is we didn’t react to it communicating is shambolic and the midfield just kept letting him go.

Off on a tangent sorry but still annoyed at how little we seemed to care.

We are woefully out of our depth army88.

I expected and hoped for much better but relegation is not the end of the world.

Regroup, weed out, bring in and go again. UTC#
