    Smalley and Davis were names that were always spoken in the same breath, though not in a good way. For a large section of the fan base those two represented the club's nadir until we were into our late 20s/early 30s - finishing just outside the play off zone in the 3rd tier.
    Incredible now when you think that was the worst many of us had ever seen.

    Definitely, be a while till we spend that sort of money again, probably the equivalent now of spending 2-3 million on a player.
