Stansmate, this is not a defence of Evans but just an overview of your points pal.
1. How much budget was Evans given? Was it a fortune?
2. Has beens signed. Who chose these players, Evans alone? Or, is their a board and a process before all agree and they are then signed on?
If so, haven't they got something to answer for? For all his knowledge, I'd wager a bet he didn't hand pick and demand all of the 14 players signed.
3. Got rid of better players, who exactly? Viktor, contract clause. Rathbone, never offered a contract in good time. Eaves, don't make me fall off my chair laughing. That's 3 I can think of but who are the rest?
4. ''dragged the standard of football to something we havent seen for years''...*cough* years? err, Taylor/Richardson need I say more?
I agree it's hard to accept of late the standard of football being played when you recall the games against;
Huddersfield a worthy win.
Bristol Rovers when we battered them but just could not score.
Charlton away again a great game and we more than matched them.
Burton at home a game where we played good football and let the game slip.
Reading at home, a well deserved win.
Peterborough away, down 1 v 0 yet took a 1v 3 lead but let that slip. The football at boro was great to watch.
Wrexham at home, very good football played but we lacked that killer finishing.
How can you say those games were dragged down to a level we haven't seen for years?
5. ALL Managers want more money come the January transfer window, that's how football revolves with ins and outs come that period.
6. I totally agree with you on the point his team selections/formations at times have to be questioned and rightly so as these are the games we've lost or drawn and badly.
7. Fans on the decline? This is inevitable when poor football is played and results wain. We all need things to about turn and the games mentioned above deliver the same level if not better football.
It's not about defending Evans, it's allowing a Manager after only 15 games be given the opportunity to address the wrongs and get the football back on track, happier fans, regular attendances all returning. Everyone to their own and I respect your views and points. Mine are I think he needs at least one more window to address what is going wrong at this time.
Brin. Was told Stewart left when the second goal went in. Can you confirm that ? Not encouraging.
I am very disappointed with the performances so far this season, I know there have been a handful of games where we have looked ok for one half or another but overall it has been very poor. I know someone said 17 players left, I think you will find it is a lot more than that. It was 16 at the end of the season and then we have sold players as well as loaned out a couple. My point is TS has vastly reduced the total number of players, the squad isn't full. You cannot do that and expect miracles you would have to have a lot of luck in terms of recruitment and injuries and we haven't had that.
If evans wanted to come back it should have been without raynor, that guy is a waste of space and clearly his training ground work is substandard to say the least. We see the outcome of his work every game. If I was TS I wouldn't sack Evans but i would sit him down and give him some home truths.
1. Football is poor quality Steve we want to see an improvement
2. Your target is top 10 by Christmas at a minimum
3. Stop using the last 2 years as an excuse and saying the club was a mess, mainly because it was me and RS, PD etc that ran the club, so we don't like you pointing out to the fans it was our fault.
4. Think about your post match interviews and what you say in the press, the fans aren't stupid and can see through your BS
5. We are sacking Paul and we want a more progressive 1st team coach to work with you. You will be part of the selection process but if you are not onboard with this then you should leave.
6. Hugill will be leaving and I have told PD and RS to sort it with the player and his agent, if we don't get the correct response he is not to train with the first team squad
7. We are not planning on increasing the budget in January, but we are willing to let you reuse any funds saved or made from exits or transfers.
8. An exception to the above point on the budget is; If we are in a much better position by 1st january then we will allow an increase by x% to push on.
9. Take the EFL trophy seriously, giving us some success will be good for you and the club.
10. We expect the business in January to see us use the loan system better and the under 21 limits better and when you have young players we want to see them developing, this will be a big factor in the recruitment of a new 1st team coach.
Now Steve do you love the club like you say and do you still want to be here to work with us on this?

The difficulty in trying to defend Evans is that he is damned by his own words.
He has been busily pointing fingers at previous managers and their alleged failings. That would just about be okay if he had delivered something different, but he really hasn't. If those previous managers were as hopeless as he implies, where does that leave him?
Richardson had the task of managing a squad that had been assembled by others. Evans can't really make that claim.
