I don?t think he always engages his brain before he speaks and ultimately I think his flirtation with West Brom speeded up his departure, imagine the feeling in the dressing room let alone the fans.

Think it?s a trust thing with him. The flirtation with Oxford whilst here, and then with West Brom whilst there. As you say, if it wasn?t for the ?love the club? type quotes you?d be a little more pragmatic about it.

That said regardless of the ultra dissecting of his subs when we don?t win on the whole I think we are a lot more balanced and the team on the whole seem to be running throughh brick walls for him. If we had played like this season under LW I?m pretty sure he would be getting a lot more praise than SM.
I think the squad is much more balanced this season., I dont want to dig out SM too much cos hes done great to turnaround the results at the end of last season through the injuries to get us to 2nd just a couple of days ago.

At this exact moment though, if I had a choice to get us up this season/ do well in league 1/ get us out of league 2 next season Id go for Williams every time. Though yeah hes demonstrated his disloyalty not only to us but also to Swansea, but lets face it, there isnt any loyalty in football.

No theres no loyalty and nor should there be, like every club we will bin off players and managers, especially managers in our history if we think their no good.
I?d probably only just go for SM, so get what you?re saying.

Not sure I'd have him back now, stuart Maynard has earned himself this season at least

    More than that.

I wouldn't want Williams back he's a bit one dimensional for me, we're a more solid team under Maynard. He did well while at Notts moved on and it didn't work out too bad, I don't feel sorry for him he had a good thing going at Notts but he promoted his move like the Oxford rumours before leaving and the the West Brom rumours at Swansea.

More strong backing for Montague, the recruitment team and the overall club?s adopted approach

Agreed. Given that probably 90 percent or more clubs in the football league are looking for someone to score a hatful of goals that was no mean feat from our owners and head of recruitment
