I agree he's the best of the two we have which has surprised me a bit because Dawson came with good references from Wednesday and I expected him to be first choice.
However, overall I would say Phillips is just a bog standard League 1 goalkeeper, no better, no worse than most of what we see in this division.
To be honest I think the bigger problem lies with what's in front of him and how our defenders let opponents waltz past them or pump crosses into the box with out being closed down.
Lots of work for our dynamic management duo to do. Hmm.

Like I said mellow, Phillips is no Viking, but yes I see him as a decent league 1 keeper and you make a fair point. UTM

I actually mentioned to my son when we got Dawson that I had seen him play a few times for Wednesday on the telly and wasn't very impressed with him Grist. UTM

I agree with Ronners about Phillips being a decent keeper. When he first came on the scene, I thought he was going to be a liability but he's surprised me with his improvement. I think even Victor would have struggled to look good with some of the defending that we've been subjected to recently.

James, for me anyway, has been one of our better players this season, and him and Powell team up really well on that left side. UTM

Phillips was in the league one team of the season before he came to us. He's ok for me though as mentioned, we have been spoilt over the last few years with quality championships/premiership keepers
