    Maynard Pro's & Cons
Pros's....done well to get us in play offs despite no full squad, loss of 1st team players, hardly any help on coaching side. Not his fault we signed inexperienced players in Jan.
Cons...no plan b, players played out of position, subs on to late. Hardly any involvement from touchline, quiet happy to let players amble on.
    Have i missed anything

From the 'Cons' list, you've missed that he plays really boring football at home.

Yeah, the home form is surely the most important factor to address, and the one most likely to force the bros' hands.

For what it's worth, I think they'll stick with him for the reasons Glad2BeaPie listed. It's technically progress, at least on paper.

Watch LW and Macca go to MKD and fire them to promotion.

What an assumption that is?. There has been zero evidence or rumours or any hint that SM will be relieved of his duties.
The bros are not emotive like many on here about Notts and all evidence suggests that they won?t pull the plug on SM. The only sacking in there time was Ardley and they did that begrudgingly.
SM will be here next season and with a bit of luck he?ll get support he needs to make Notts a force in L2 during 25/26.

In my head he?s got to go because on the whole most don?t seem to behind him. Then part of me thinks if he had an experienced no2 with him it would make a lot of difference.

It only takes a new manager to come in and get a bad start and you?re basically back at square one.

If I was the owners I wouldn?t directly listen to the players but I?d certainly would like to get a gauge of what the feeling is like towards him.

If he stays he needs better players and he needs to work out how to break this poor home record as I think it?s half him and half the players fault.

Not have never beens. Basically, Bros have funded an expensive **** show. It's not good enough. If owners have a brand, that's fine. But get your cheque book out and pay for players that can deliver now. No projects. Customers move on from products they don't like. Or, get a manager that is able to shape a a squad. Wrexham were our peers. Now it's probably more like Newport.
So you mean kids that basically have tippy happy football rammed down them from a young age? Not has been a that can play hoof ball?
The problem for me this season is that too many players have played in positions they are not comfortable in? whether that?s due to poor recruitment or injury is open for debate.
I lost count of the number of crosses Notts put in to the box over the season and the quality was poor.

I think for his own good its probably best to part company that way he will get another job off back of this season.

I dont think players dislike him that just isnt the vibe I get some fans not saying you seem to think of you lose he has "lost the dressing room" all other rubbish cliches like that.

I got a few pelters not that I care a while back for suggesting RM left us with a rubbish squad overall, sells Nemane brings in Grant brilliant for a team that uses wing backs !

The model is good imo but the one thing some struggle with is LW IB SM were head coaches they had nothing to do with recruitment and lets be honest that hasnt been good enough, its why I nicknamed RM as Teflon.

There is different ways of measuring progress on paper yes some. Another is fan (customer) satisfaction no progress there I'm afraid.
    Interesting times afoot.

Paul Warne is the MK Dons manager so are you saying you don't think he'll last long and then they'll get Williams in.

    .
If he does go the question of where he goes next is an interesting one. Id be very surprised if he got a head coaching role anywhere higher than mid national league.

I would have thought hes probably likely to go down the Burchnall route of a coaching job at a bigger club. We keep being told hes a great coach though Ive seen very little evidence for it.
