Not sure what news sources you are getting this from, but even a 3 minute search tells us that this was a 2 day visit with multiple purposes, not just the one you want to relentlessly read and bang on about.

Not wanting to defend Starmer much at all at the moment but here's a neutral summary of the two days' discussions:

Out of interest. why do you think Albanian people should want their leader to take in UK's failed asylum seekers? Would you want that if we had the good fortune that you were Albanian?

So they should be. It will be far easier for them to sell their catch into the EU markets that they rely upon.

That’s quite droll, howdy, but it’s also meaningless. If a few individuals choose to pay more than required to that isn’t capable of making any difference. Population wide taxes matter.

And there’s a point to taxation. I think most motorists are fed up with the state of the roads and anyone who has tried to get a GP appointment recently will be wondering (if they have any curiosity) whether GPS services are going the same way as NHS dentistry. I think the general mood on here indicates that many people quite rightly want something done about the huge backlog in the processing of asylum claims. And all those things cost money.

We can blame politicians all that we like and they have to take their share of the blame, but it’s the public who repeatedly vote for political parties who tell the lie that we can have first class public services and tax cuts.

NB. it’s customary at this point for people give their opinion about the way governments waste money. I’ve got an opinion or two on that, but I doubt whether anyone has ideas that would make any measurable difference.

I assure you, I could go at it for months, with tangible results.

I'm sure that you could howdy - expressing opinions formed by your view of country and it's needs.

So could I, but that's not really the point.

. Yes it will be easier to sell fish in eu markets if there are any fish to sell . With eu fishing boats from twenty seven countries hovering up our fish just six miles from the British coast. Also with the new eu deal more eu fishing companies will be established and will just make it more difficult to sell our fish for a good price.
