I suspect he will do most of his talking on the pitch not off it

I'd like to get back to midfielders that chip in with goals though. Whilst Gomis & Bauben were pretty useful in many respects, They lacked any goal threat. Unlike Badger, GMS, Swanson or Robson who offered a goal threat whenever they were on the park.

The game has changed a bit since then though. And, let's face it, we have to make the best out of our budget. Jim Goodwin seems to know what is required, and he has done reasonably well in the transfer market. But the likes of Babunski, Okada and Meshack show that for every 'hit' (Vicko Sjvelj) you get, you probably also end up with a couple of misfits.

I feel that the 'hit rate' for incomings is probably going to be better if we can sign up-and-coming players from the UK leagues. But what we can offer in terms of wages probably dictates that we have to scour the international market for bargains; players ready to break through and get themselves noticed.

Fingers crossed we get enough 'hits' signed up for the season.

Final word to Craig Sibbald. That injury was bad, but you are fit again and will get a full pre-season under your belt. We want to see you back in your 'player of the year' form asap. Big season for you Craig. You can step-up here.

Docherty is 32 though. Camara is 28. I think Doc was a really positive influence for 90% of the games he appeared for our 1st team. But I don't think we can have a player thst is so influencial (and team captain) missing from as many games as he did last season.

I get your point Sande_Man. We could well end up wishing we had Doc in and around the squad. Time will tell.

Signings so far seem good but time will tell

What we do need to replace after doc and Gallagher leaving is leaders on the pitch and in the dressing room

It seems we are missing out on the Bosnian lad, mibbee we could do a deal for either Elguja Lubjanidze or Nemanja Nikolic. Both are target men and are experienced. Giorgi Aburjania would be a good addition in midfield alongside Sevelj.
