    Ins and outs

    Sky sports transfer page has a section of ins and outs of each team, Leeds have 4 ins, and an amazing 25 outs, this includes sold, loaned or released, but wow, 25, is there anyone left?

    I predicted around a dozen, and some of those are still with us so it could get worse!

    Fact is we had a bloated squad the needed thinking, problem being we haven't rid ourselves of all the dross (Aaronson is still around, Kristensen is back out on loan but "on the books" etc) and yet we have disposed of some of the best players from last season (Gray, Tamara, Summerville), and some if the best if our youth squad (Bate, Cresswell, Shackleton, Klaesson etc) and the supposed "replacements" are players largely unable to command a regular starting spot even though many have been acquired from lower league clubs e.g Cairns (we sell Klaesson and sign him, wtf???)

    Thinning, not "thinking"!!!! (Although some evidence of thinking would be welcome!)

    A large proportion of that are player releases like Bate, Poveda, Allen etc.

    Yep, I realise that, but 25 is still a lot, and a lot of wages saved.

    Many of those 25 have come through the ranks and been here quite some time - but never really taken what few chances they have been given - or at least not in the eyes of the managers from Bielsa to Farke ... and that is what actually matters - Shackleton, Cresswell, Bate, to name just three - so as you say its a big lump off the wages for lads who for whatever reason just do not fit in with the managers plans.
    Seems sensible to me
