Whilst I am not defending Israel, CiB, it interests me that the bargaining chip offered by Trump was that Iran give up its nuclear aspirations. If Iran did not have such aspirations, which may have been realised, why would Iran make such an issue of it, refusing to cooperate with UN inspectors and walk out of discussions in Geneva?

I have friends in Israel who live with the constant threat of Iran and its terrorist arms like Hamas and Hezbollah. I know the tension that exists there. We are blest in Hungary and Switzerland that we don’t have to live that threat……yet.

Don’t forget that, after Israel, the West is satan.

As you know, BT, I have said the same. My objections in the past have been related to threads about, say team selection, suddenly becoming a discussion about politics and political views totally unrelated to team selection.

I am with Sinkov and others on this. It warrants its own thread. It is not simply about whether Starmer is a knob or not.
