I don't think the legal action is anything to do with promises. The accusation is that Boris said that we give the EU £350 million a week. If he did and that is not the case then he lied. What do you see on the bus that makes you think different?

The £350million figure was a lie. As Grist correctly pointed out the other day, the true figure is about half of that.

I don't want to say too much about the case as it is arguably sub-judice. I would simply point out that the CPS has the power to take over private prosecutions and drop them if they are deemed to be doomed to fail or not in the public interest.
