To be fair to the tories i don't think they are anymore to blame for this problem than any other nations govts in terms of being complacent about it happening in the first place. I would argue however as i always have done that the neglected state of the NHS over the last few years irrespective of all this has not helped us to be able to cope with it.

Whether the govt is to blame or not, our present govt seriously needs to ensure this doesn't happen again. The next bug that comes along might not give us a second chance.
