The Jimmy Sirrel had a better atmosphere unsurprisingly but the view wasn't as good and you have the sun in your eyes. A poor man's Pavis.

And as for the Kop, naturally the best for atmosphere, noticeably more embarrassing for idiots and above all a view of the pitch I just don't like unless I'm in an away section. It's hard to tell what's happening in the other half of the pitch, who fouled who, and you can forget most offside decisions.

I didn't choose the old Main Stand/Pavis, the old Main Stand/Pavis chose me.... and I'm very happy about that.
I have been in all 4 sides of the ground at one time or another & without a doubt the Pavis gives the best view, unfortunately in my experience it also contains the most miserable & negative, moaning "fans" I have ever encountered. Having got a ST I found I couldn't sit in my chosen seat without having my enjoyment ruined by a group who seemed to take great delight in picking on a player (it seemed to change every game) & slagging him off all game, this even extended one game to a player who was warming up to come on as sub. I am now back in the Kop & although I would agree it's not perfect at least I can enjoy a reasonable atmosphere.
