With all that in mind, where do people think we'd be in the table had LW stuck around? Would he be doing better than Maynard with the likes of Bass, Platt, and Bedeau at the back? I suspect we'd still be a bit schizophrenic, but more like the version of Notts we saw at the start of our first season back in L2. Overall, I think Maynard has us playing more balanced, pragmatic football that is probably more likely to see us through.
I think we would have finished slightly higher last season say about 10th but I reckon we'd be lower this season than where we are currently probably just outside the play offs and still conceding too many goals.
