It should have been set up after admin 2 to buy back the ground, that?s only my opinion
It was mentioned at a Dee4life AGM in 2022 that the Dee4life secretary spent a year of his time in 2014-15 preparing a business case for the buyback of Dens Park based on a purchase price of ?750k.
He had managed to obtain two donations totalling ?250k, a bank loan of ?250k was being arranged and fundraising by Dundee FC supporters would raise the final ?250k.
Sadly Bill Colvin who was keen on the buy back of Dens Park resigned as Chairman.
The Dee4life Secretary made his business case presentation to John Nelms and Ian Crichton in Dens Park.
Nelms refused to agree to his business case but he had the cheek to ask the Dee4life Secretary to leave his business case so that Nelms could study it in detail.
The Dee4life Secretary refused and that was the end of the buyback of Dens Park which FPS had promised to do when they purchased a majority shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited.
Finally. I honestly believe that Dundee Football Club would be a lot better run if Scot Gardner had remained as Chief Executive and John Nelms remained as Director of the Dundee Football Club Football Academy which he was appointed to do when he arrived lock, stock and barrel at the beginning of September 2013.
