Swansea v Middlesbrough Sat 8 March 15:00
Coming up we have the second match in a grouping of four league matches crammed into an eleven day period from 4-15 March to enable a two week International break from 15-29 March.
Our opponents Boro have just recovered from a five match losing run to win their last two matches and are still in the hunt for promotion, being two points of the play-offs coming into this match. Head-Coach Michael Carrick’s position was rumoured to be under threat due to the bad run but that is now seemingly over after the last two wins.
On the injury front Boro have fitness doubts on defenders van den Berg (knee) and Ayling (ankle).
Ex-Swan Morgan Whittaker has played the number 10 role to good effect in the last two games but has yet to score since his transfer from Plymouth in January.
Odds-on then that he opens his account with a goal against us.
For the Swans there are doubts on the fitness of Peart-Harris, he limped off against Preston after a late tackle. Brady and Greenwood got away with too many fouls that night due to a weak referee.
Can we carry on our improved form under caretaker-manager Alan Sheehan, let’s hope so, c’mon the Swans!
