    Swansea v Middlesbrough

    Swansea v Middlesbrough Sat 8 March 15:00
Coming up we have the second match in a grouping of four league matches crammed into an eleven day period from 4-15 March to enable a two week International break from 15-29 March.
Our opponents Boro have just recovered from a five match losing run to win their last two matches and are still in the hunt for promotion, being two points of the play-offs coming into this match. Head-Coach Michael Carrick’s position was rumoured to be under threat due to the bad run but that is now seemingly over after the last two wins.
On the injury front Boro have fitness doubts on defenders van den Berg (knee) and Ayling (ankle).
Ex-Swan Morgan Whittaker has played the number 10 role to good effect in the last two games but has yet to score since his transfer from Plymouth in January.
Odds-on then that he opens his account with a goal against us.
For the Swans there are doubts on the fitness of Peart-Harris, he limped off against Preston after a late tackle. Brady and Greenwood got away with too many fouls that night due to a weak referee.
Can we carry on our improved form under caretaker-manager Alan Sheehan, let’s hope so, c’mon the Swans!

    Swansea 1 (Eom 26’) - Middlesbrough 0
Yes we can! Well done Sheehan and the team for turning things around. Second win in three matches, no goals conceded. Compare that to Williams’ last seven games, one win and six defeats.
Outplayed Boro first half and should have put this game to bed with all the chances we had. Dominance continued until about 70 minutes when Boro suddenly woke up. For the next 25 minutes it was a more even contest, minus Darling who went off injured on 69 minutes.
A well deserved win and first goal of the season for Eom.

What a difference Sheehan has made since taking over from Williams.
Instead of boring to watch football we are now being entertained with attacking football for the whole match.
Last quarter the Boro came back into it but we defended well as a team and kept them out.
First half was outstanding football from the Swans and we should have scored more, so many chances.
There were many players like Eom and Vipotnik we thought weren’t good enough but they have been transformed under Sheehan.
    Long may it continue.

Sorry guys late to the party again, still celebrating, surely we are almost safe now.
What a game boys, similar to Blackburn but not so many goals but still a joy to watch.
I hope Darling is okay after going off injured, especially with the bad news on Peart-Harris returning to Brentford with a back injury. The last thing we need is an injury crisis.
Disappointing crowd figures 13,900 and something. I hope it was only because Wales rugby were playing.
No excuses for not turning up to support the team next Saturday when we play home to high flyers Burnley and their outstanding defence. There’s the small matter of Watford away to confront first though on Wednesday in this crazy match scheduling.
