Things they could do now of course but with everything about you collated in one nice convenient place that you've indirectly granted them access to. Tell me of a world where you would feel comfortable with Nigel Farage and co having direct physical access to the pocket you keep your mobile in. Doesn't read very well does it? A bloke called Nigel rifling through the personals in your pocket when you go to the loo. Just saying 😉 .
Its fair to question who is in charge and their policies. But surely if the Digital ID system was regulated correctly, it would improve security in this country. People who are wanted for crimes or undocumented people who shouldn't be here can be identified quicker and easier.

The way I see it is its just like a driving licence, only its digital and on your phone. In the same way, are you concerned that the Passport office has your details? And in any case, whoever gets in in future elections - what has the general law abiding citizen got to be concerned about? I don't break any laws and I pay a lot of tax, what possible purpose would these people want with my information? I have nothing to hide so I have nothing to fear.
