So, the WWE orchestrates mayhem at the White House. How did anyone manage to smuggle a rifle in there?

This was as staged as any WWE show. As, IMO, was the outdooe one a few months back when his ear was "hit". Look today and there's no scar where the "wound" was. The ear is cartilege and would show signs of recovery. His doesn't. His ratings are through the floor and this is his way of improving them, IMO.
