The Doctor prescribed Tramadol, and Naproxen but its not shifting the pain.

Ive had to cancel my gigs this week so are now not earning any money.

I asked him for a cortisone injection but he said I muidst hasve physio first. This is a waste of time as i'm in so much pain.

My question is can you pay private to have this injection or isthere any thing else I could do to get mobile and esrning again...
Not another excuse for not turning up to watch the Millers ? Quite original though this one ! If you had turned up yesterday and stopped for the goal your shoulder would have been fixed, when everybody throw their arms in the air in wild euphoria.
    Should

The ex physio of Leeds United worked there (might still be there) but a Burnley fan.

You dont need referral by your GP.

Makes a change for you to be taking pain killers instead of your audience
Can also recommend them, had the same physio as jolly mentioned ( think his was Dave). All thou mine was a back problem.

Might sound silly, but I had gout in the shoulder, very painful, given anti inflammatory tablets for the gout, along with enzyme inhibitors ( Allopurinol ).
Normally anyone having gout for the first time have it in their big toe, but you can get gout in all joints, like I have had.
The symptoms of gout is when you have a increased uric acid quantity in the body, the uric acid builds up in your joints & tendons as crystals, causing a inflammatory reaction. The inflammation causes the skin around certain joints to become swollen, tender & sore when only slightly touched, you may also have severe pain when the joint is moved.
Just a thought, I know the pain too well, having suffered with gout from 36 yers old, now 62, so had some suffering. !

Top diagnostic possibility prize goes jointly( see what I did there) to myself and Eric...in truth Eric may have edged me out(embarrassingly)

I had forgotten your gout history which makes Eric's idea quite possible and fits in a bit more with quite acute onset and degree of pain.

Frozen shoulder would normally ease significantly with rest and be exacerbated by raising the arm from your side with the pain coming on past 15 degrees.

May well be worth a review of the diagnosis with your GP.

I had a frozen shoulder. Had the problem for about 14 months. 10 month ignoring it hoping it would go away then 4 months (first referred to a consultant at the hospital for diagnosis followed by physio) which cured it.

    A Tommy Cooper moment

Tommy:- "Doctor, it hurts when I do this" (raises arm)

Doctor:- "well don't do it then"

    Just like that...ha..ha..ha..ha (manically)
