re: D_D's Player Ratings vs. Brighton

I just want to add something about Grants performance.

DD says he didn't have to make many saves, yet obviously when he did then he did it well. But nobody has mentioned his distribution yet. Some of his throw outs were sublime, there was one in the first half that went down the left wing (not sure if it was Ward who picked it up) which was timed and measured to perfection.

We have suffered with poor distribution from goal keepers for a number of years. Having one that can do it well makes a big difference when bringing the ball out of defence. In the corresponding game at PP against Southampton, wasn't it Byewaters misplaced pass that let Saints back into the game when we were two goals up in the tie? Just one example, but I can't imagine Grant making a mistake like that in such a game.

That's a very good point Ramondo. I think Grant's kicking has been poor at times this season,ly Middlesborough away where he kicked three go

Grant again, when it mattered over the 2 legs did excellent work.

If I had to be critical of anyone it would have been Ward. Again poor deliveries from set pieces and never really threatened them.

Nice to see you've come round with Martin too! I like a poster who isn't affriad to change their mind about a player, because some are seemingly blind through stubborness. Any guesses who?

haha. angry this is the first step to you coming round to the fact that Eustace is god.

on a similar note D_D, after giving grant a lot of stick in the first half this season, he's been consistently good down the stretch and o
