We have 3 quality midfielders and they can't all 3 play without the team being affected - its a quandry for Mac but a nice one to have
Omar looked ok in the holding role. I also prefer Hughes in the final third of the pitch picking those passes.
Hendrick can't be dropped at the moment but Bryson could be... He should not have devine right to his starting position.
Hughes won't play tomorrow but I would have liked to see him and Hendrick playing the more advanced roles.

I just think Bryson looks more effective when teams don't sit back and close the space that he likes to run in to...looks more effective away from home.

Playing Hughes in the holding role is just not going to work, it's a specialised position and one that is essential to our system. If we keep him at DCM we will lose a lot of games and Hughes' valuation will drop below his currant 500k.

Thank you all for treating my honest views with respect. I was sure I would get flamed big-time.
Well I watched last nights game and I think Hughes did well and his tackling was much better timed so I withdraw that part of my comments.
However Carlisle are not a top team and you would expect him to be able to mange against their players fairly easily in any position.
Once again though we needed him further forward. Our play was predictable and little variation. Hughes instead of Bryson would have been better.
I'm not against Bryson but he doesn't seem to be "available" for the ball too much, making runs a bit too easily and not getting the pass. Wasting energy really.

    are we set ridged on the 4 -1 - 2 - 3
if that is so we are going to get found out more often
    Why don't we try
    back four
    mascrelle holding
    Bryson Hughes Hendrick
    Martin & whoever
try it sometimes maybe ? It may get Hughes in the hole behind the front two ,which I think is his best position
