Apparently he was paid his twenty thousand a week whilst serving his sentence. At the end of his contract and if he is sensible he should be able to retire to some unknown locality set up for the rest of his life.

Both lee hughes and luke McCormick were both allowed to play football again after causing death by dangerous driving (McCormick killed 2 brothers) there's no if or buts about what they both did.yet Ched Evans is getting just as much abuse for what he has done when there is a very good possibility that he isn't guilty, plenty of ifs and but around the case.

to lose that case he must have hired the worst defence lawyer on the planet. I'd expect to do a bit better with £20k p/w!

Rapid, I read the article, which does try to express an alternative side to how things played out. I remember the news at the time, but cant say I am an expert in the whole case. Maybe that makes me blinkered and overly judgemental. Possibly righteous

I dont mind admitting, my opinion is based on the fact he has been tried and convicted by judge and jury. He has appealled once and lost. Ok, he still maintains his innocence

to be honest, I dont think he knows right from wrong. Whether it be aggrevated rape, or raping someone who is unconscious...both acts are so wrong...IMO.

I tell you what, if he appeals again and clears his, then he can do what he likes. I still wouldnt want to see him at Derby, but if some club is prepared to have him, then he is welcome

I just feel that a jury of 12 and a subsequent judical appeal that have seen all the facts have more info than any of us reading blogs.

as you're entitled to yours mate.

she wasn't unconscious according to the hotel attendant btw.

in fairness to him, I don't think I know right from wrong in this case.

the issue I have with it all is that honestly, I'd consider myself as a nice guy. I treat the missus well, I run around after her like something rotten. I'm the kind of guy that will open the door for a lady. if I saw someone a lady with a pram coming up to some stairs, I'd leap over and offer to grab the front to help her up. if I saw an old person struggling with anything, I'd offer a hand.

and the point is...this could have been me! if the girl I had once upon a time hadn't have smiled and kissed me on the cheek on the way out and alternatively shouted RAPE in my face, would that make me the scum of the earth like you've suggested this fella is?

have you ever had a one nighter with some bird when you were both drunk? maybe it could have been you...

now what i consider to be 'rape', which is very different from t

If the legal system, including a jury of equals, deems he violated this girls rights, thats good enough for me. I would be careful trivialising "too drunk too consent" as BS.

I have a 13yo daughter and two sons. I would hope that as a parent Ican educate them on moral rights and wrongs to avoid them ever being in this situation. Maybe the high profile nature of this will serve as a warning to others

I just dont believe the system would serve a 5yr prison sentence if the crime was just trivial. As I say, if he clears his, he can do what he likes.

Will leave it there and focus on things far more deserving than ched evans

It does sound like I'm not against rape or I think Ched is not guilty but as iv said on a post on forest mad my mate had an ex say he raped her and she was lying out her back teeth.its too easy for women to cry rape and ruin a mans life.
I am against rape in its truest form not the legal system trying to make women feel better after they got wrecked and made a mistake they regret.

Polish. Sorry to hear that. How long did your mate go to prison for?

Along same lines, I know 2 women who have been victims of rape. One was gang raped by a group of lads abroad. Greek police didnt want to know. The other was too scared to go thro uk system to prove it happened when just her word against his that she decided to live with it instead

I didnt witness either so just taking their word for it. But both I believe I could see the wreckage it made of them

I am sure its a crime where some get miss accused, and I pray the system finds them out and deals with them. Unfortunately, I am sure there are thousands more crimes like this that go unpunished. As a bloke, that doesnt give me any satisfaction
