My view for what it's worth is that the SFA will be reluctant to go head to head with a multi millionaire with bottomless pockets. If this was a nondescript chairman they would be "all over this" but they will be very reluctant to take on Ashley because he will be able to appoint the best lawyers and they will not be confident that their "rules and regulations" would stand up to a robust legal challenge.

The SFA have allowed it for the same reason that Rangers were allowed into the Third Division when they did not meet the requirements for admission as a new club.
And for the same reason that our BOD would have had them admitted straight to the top tier.
These rules are there to prevent a club being used as a feeder club.
So, we will see what the SFA do. My bet is SFA.

heres my take on whats going on at rangers and its not rocket science mike ashley is controlling things at rangers that is plain to see he took over newcastle and all its assets bank rolled them built the scouting team up which has been very successfull from a financial point of view to newcastle it looks like hes looking to do the same thing at rangers own the club and its assets bank roll the club back to the european stage make his cash back by 1 selling the sports direct brand in european advertising and 2 by loaning rangers newcastle fringe players on the verge of the 1st team lets not kid our selfs there is absolutly no money to be made in scottish football from a selling point of view for any player on a rare occasion you ll see players go for 3 to 4 million however ashley will use rangers to gain valueable 1st team experience for newcastle youngsters he may unearth a jem who will return to newcastle be sold then the money reused into rangers theres clubs all over the world dua
