Frankly it scares me how easy it is to own a club and trash it through all sorts of mismanagement and "dodgy" dealings.
The rules on "fit and proper" seem to be so wide as to be non existent.
If our owners decide to sell the business, as that's what DCFC is, we could end up in the mire again!
Fair comment. DCFC have been saved from being pulled into the abyss on at least 3 occasions. Far too many charlatans busy ruining English football clubs, in my opinion. The FA and PL are not doing their job when it comes to vetting potential owners, who are far too often not fit and proper, either morally or financially.

The Leeds situation pretty much sums this up - their (ex) owner isn't fit and proper because of a previous conviction - fine, but why is he considered suitable when that convistion is 'spent'? You're either 'fit & proper' or you're not, you don't become fit & proper a few years after breaking the law - once you cross that line, you are unfit and that should be the end of it...
More's to the point on this one... Why do so many Leeds fans seem happy he is in charge??? After they beat us at ER they were on here lauding his 'long term plan, and building of a 'dream team'.

They must love being ground to **** by dodgy owners up there!

The selling party should also take some blame IMO, too. So often you here owners say ' We'll only sell if

Shame it will be wasted on most of them:
Absolutely right EP, they generally still think he is a great owner, still going to give them the 3rd star... There is no-one else I would rather have at their helm!!! - view external link

Absolute shambles of a club. Is it not a daft comment saying that he is happy with his squad and therefore doesn't worry about the embargo being extended? I assume he doesn't know how injuries might impact and also he has to replace Darlow and Lascelles etc. I still suspect that the Reddogs will realise at some point that Fawaz isn't as generous or as wealthy as he has been making out.

Found it, was a sky article...

...'There have been issues regarding the distribution of money since Al-Hasawi's takeover of the club in the summer of 2012'...

...'Forest have been late in paying clubs for players, with Hull and Crystal Palace thought to have been left waiting for payments owed for the Tom Ince and Jack Hunt loan deals. Many agents and club suppliers are also understood to have been paid late - or to still be awaiting money'...

    Shocking!!!

To be fair to Fawaz, he is making every effort to pay off all his debts. He has just tweeted conclusive visual evidence that he is sending Peterborough United one of his fridges as the latest instalment on the Assombalonga deal:

Brilliant analysis and scalpel-precise evaluation of the issue at the helm of our red neighbours.
