Whilst it is fun to gloat for while at others misfortune it is not that long ago DCFC had its share of less than stable ownership. Maxwell, 3 amigos etc.
Frankly it scares me how easy it is to own a club and trash it through all sorts of mismanagement and "dodgy" dealings.
The rules on "fit and proper" seem to be so wide as to be non existent.
If our owners decide to sell the business, as that's what DCFC is, we could end up in the mire again!

The Leeds situation pretty much sums this up - their (ex) owner isn't fit and proper because of a previous conviction - fine, but why is he considered suitable when that convistion is 'spent'? You're either 'fit & proper' or you're not, you don't become fit & proper a few years after breaking the law - once you cross that line, you are unfit and that should be the end of it...
I find this situation absolutely bizarre. this guy is supposedly a successful businessman.
their club is being mismanaged in more ways than one.
I'm sorry but either he's either not got as much money as people reckon or his business skills leave a lot to be desired.
it wouldn't be the first time we've heard of a rich owner all of a sudden not having a pot to **** in.
you can't just 'miss' financial payments of this scale of a regular basis. shocking. that's a sackable offence but he won't be sacking himself!
I hadn't appreciated until I saw an item on East Mids Today, but they don't have a board at Forest - Fawaz is pretty much 'the man' (particularly now the chief exec has gone) and so he makes all of the decisions himself - he evidently has significant business interestes outside the club that must take his attention, so not surprising if things don't happen that should...also he's having to put £1.5M per month into the club to keep them going - would worry me if I was a red dog...
AThe yobbo who was convicted of ****ting a Forest player yesterday apologised to ' the derby fans the forest fans the derby team the forest team the derby board the forest board'. He needs to get a new scriptwriter there IS no first boardOriginally Posted by Gaspode
There is a really good article here written by that rarest of creatures - an intelligent, articulate and thoughtful Forest fan.
Shame it will be wasted on most of them: - view external link

In my real world job my role was to look for problems before they happen and make sure suitable action was taken. That comes across as negative sometimes when you tell Management something is heading down the pan maybe. BUT I always planned for success- Just like I have renewed my ticket for next year!
