Time to sell Hughes

I wouldn't disagree if we could get 10-12 million as opposed to 500k. But I don't think we would get either figure, as both are unrealistic unless we can find a bidding war

I love the guy & feel he`s a great young talent BUT with FFP nowdays its time to think what maybe £10/12 million can do for us instead

Lets face it he`s worth that much coz he`s english not coz he`s that talented & clubs need english players at the top level etc

Ive even found a ready replacement in Craig Sibbald of Falkirk... maybe not Hughes just yet but certainly a tidy left midfielder

And that leaves a lot of cash to put on the pitch instead of usually ending up on the bench

No player is irreplaceable. Question though, is anyone banging down the door waving 10 million quid in front of the clubs decision maker(s)

It is inevitable that somebody will this close season, but it will have to be double-figure millions to even be worthy of being taken seriously. I predict that if Hughes stays fit and Thorne stays fit {that's going to be less than certain}, Hughes i

I want to watch Thorne and Hughes next season ripping it up on the pitch. Its about entertainment and results, and Hughes is a class act to watch

Yeah they`re queuing up to offer us billions for him... think about it people...we could rebuild virtually a new squad with that sorta money.. instead of one guy who brolly man left on the bench for half the time...

The only valuation that has been publicly mentioned was £7 million and that was when Derby had signed hi to a new contract and said it would take bids of over £7 million to even consider selling, no club rushed forward to offer that amount as far as is known.

IF we were offered £15 million, then frankly we'd be bonkers not to take it, that would fund say 3 quality players.

I dont want to see him go, but IF and I stress the IF, the fee was big enough why wouldn't we sell?
