£500k doesn't get you much these days so why would we sell him?
the money wouldn't go very far.

Question is who would want him ? It seems ages that he has been carrying such a high valuation so in my view it looks like he's yours for the foreseeable future providing you don't drop out of the Championship. A lot depends on his motor and whether it can withstand the battering of modern day football.[/quote]Originally Posted by Akwesasne

Who is offering £10/£12m?
I doubt he would attract offers of half that.
It's easy to talk big numbers when it isn't your money...
No way on earth will they sell Hughes.

I want to watch Thorne and Hughes next season ripping it up on the pitch. Its about entertainment and results, and Hughes is a class act to watch
Need to fight off any interest and keep him - players of his technical ability are few and far between!

As for getting better under PC...you know that do you ??? Only him or all of them being as you seem to have an inside view on it all ???
Dont get the money then this thread is obviously irrelevant I dont wanna sell him but money talks
The only valuation that has been publicly mentioned was £7 million and that was when Derby had signed hi to a new contract and said it would take bids of over £7 million to even consider selling, no club rushed forward to offer that amount as far as is known.
IF we were offered £15 million, then frankly we'd be bonkers not to take it, that would fund say 3 quality players.
I dont want to see him go, but IF and I stress the IF, the fee was big enough why wouldn't we sell?
