Time to sell Hughes

I love the guy & feel he`s a great young talent BUT with FFP nowdays its time to think what maybe £10/12 million can do for us instead

Lets face it he`s worth that much coz he`s english not coz he`s that talented & clubs need english players at the top level etc

Ive even found a ready replacement in Craig Sibbald of Falkirk... maybe not Hughes just yet but certainly a tidy left midfielder

And that leaves a lot of cash to put on the pitch instead of usually ending up on the bench

I wouldn't disagree if we could get 10-12 million as opposed to 500k. But I don't think we would get either figure, as both are unrealistic unless we can find a bidding war

Question is who would want him ? It seems ages that he has been carrying such a high valuation so in my view it looks like he's yours for the foreseeable future providing you don't drop out of the Championship. A lot depends on his motor and whether it can withstand the battering of modern day football.

Personally I think Hughes is worth more to us on the pitch than the money we would get for him.

Why sell your best players unless you have to? I personally doubt he will be here next year but I do feel we need him to give us a fighting chance of going up.

Why on earth would you sell your best player unless you have to financially or the player wants to go!
Don't think financially it's an issue...does he want to go.?
I know the pull of the premier league is there, but there are only a few clubs that would play him regularly surely.
Stick around and get promoted with us!

Id rather him stay tbh, he's an important player for us, and i suspect the max we'd get right now is about 5 million anyway.
