I thought about writing a long paragraph explaining why, with lots of quotes and evidence, but then i thought nobody would actually care what i had written anyway.

Trying to change someone's mind on a message board is pointless - and if they did, who cares.

I've just got back from holiday and it's a Monday morning. Everything seems so pointless .

I'm not bothered about changing anyones mind, I'm just engaging in debate, I see things differently and think McClaren's had a bit of a rough deal from some, who have forgotten what he did achieve for the club. At the same time, the collapse, albeit there were key injuries to players indicates he had lost any influence on the team, I just don't think it was the newcastle issue which was the problem, more something in Mac's

Rats One of your arguments is that Clough left the team in a better place when he left than SM has Well how come we had to immediately get loans in when Mac took over When an incoming manager watches his new team concede 4 goals in 35 minutes in his first match he must know he needs some new players fast You can play around with graphs forever but would Clough have ever got us to a play off final the answer is no Clough is just an average arrogant manager who even with 56 professionals at Shef Utd was still a failure As for your hatred of Sam Rush hes done a damn sight more for the fans and the club than Glick would have ever done

I manage pubs. Mondays are the best as everyone that's ****ed you off by enjoying the weekend is now deeply depressed.
