What about the rest of the team? They could have banged in 3 or 4 goals against QPR before it got to that.
    NOT HAVING THAT.
not that old chestnut again. if you're not at fault for passing the ball to someone in your own box giving them a virtual open goal then I don't know what is.

teams lose possession of the ball 20, 30, 40+ times per game. that happens. players don't give opponents an open goal inside their own box every 5 minutes. it's a glaring mistake and I'm shocked people can still attempt to defend the indefensible.

anyways that's gone now. I think the point the poster was making is that it's not an isolated incident. off the top of my head Keogh did the same thing against Chelsea. same against m'boro. sent off and gave pens away against forest.

lots of examples. he is erro

Will Hughes was well worth to be in the team of the season than Keogh, god knows why he was picked when our defence was awful they must of felt sorry for him. We need a new captain who can lift us to the next stage wether it's Shackell or Pearce or Warnock we need to kick our self into gear and sort out the mistakes we keep making.

There's none so blind ... At Wembley poor slow thinking and ineffective challenge by Bucko followed by a slip from Keogh. Who's most to blame?

Warnock was awful for 90% of his time on the pitch last season.
Warnock and Christie both ahead of Keogh in t

Absolute park footballer. So predictable we play a game guessing what he is going to do next... Im batting 90%.

Telegraphs passes, dives in too quickly, all way too predictable. Quick to blame others for HIS mistakes, not a leader in any way shape or form.. Not unless you count pumping the badge before the game and at half time.
In the Eustace envelope for me... A total myth.
We need better in order to challenge...

And yet he's been fought of competition from numerous other defenders. For me, as bad as he appears, he fits the system, plain and simple. We've had four centre-halves at the club who have all recently moved for a collective total of about £6,000,000 and yet none of them were better than Keogh.

I never used to rate him, but I've sort of grew into the state of mind that he just suits us - excellent on the ball and quick. Just want you want for a tea

    Agreed.
It is generally accepted that our defence was a shambles last year. To be fair to Keogh, injuries and chopping and changing did not help him.

Hmmmm. Yes we have but some would say with a better defence we might have been playing Chelsea in the league this year rather than a possible cup game..
Was the problem last year our lack of goals? Huddersfield has been mention on this thread.. Shocking defending and there were many others... Not all Keoghs fault but as a collective unit.. **** poor.

Like Bucko, he gives his all. He is to be commended.
Not knocking Shackell, but at 32, the money can be invested better.
Nozzy, sorry 'gives his all' aint enough.. If his all is poor, he is not good enough. We arnt a U8 team where little nozzy has to play or mum and dad have a wobbly.
Had too much to do!! Well is that not what he is paid to do..

I have answered the team of the season question...

Just for clarity, we play in white at home and Keogh looks like a horse.. You may be watching someone else.

Chellaston, just to add.. We failed twice, you might have missed that. So I could add 'you're evidently wrong' here.
Or are we happy with failure.. Frank Bruno syndrome, we love a loser. I don't want DCFC to just keep missing out. Identify your weakness and address it.
We failed twice and we all know the areas that need upgrading.. Defence has t

Can't agree about him 'costing us Wembley'. He made the final and most conspicuous of two or three mistakes in the build up to their winner, but as someone else said...the only people that never make mistakes are 'those that do nowt'. The rest of the side tha

    re: Don't knock Keogh

This thread shows just how varying opinions can be about players.

For me Keogh is a typical strong championship centre half, would probably get into a lower half premier league team even - to focus on errors is misleading as every player makes them in every game even top quality multi million pound players, its just that sometimes its crucial, but we didn't lose the play off final because Bucko and Keogh made a balls up, bloody Green Rangers goalie made at lest 3 amazing saves and several other good ones to deny us.

Hopefully if he is with this season he will have a solid and lasting partnership with another player, presumably Pearce? Then you will see the best of him.
