A little note on Brighton

Not forgetting that in Chris Hughton, they have an excellent coach/manager. He has proven in the past that he can get teams out of this league.

Very good point Beardy. Hughton is a decent manager, with a lot of experience as a player and a coach. Not sure if Brighton have the strength in depth, but as Bournemouth proved last season, if you don't get too unlucky with injuries, promotion is achievable.

They're also only played 4 out of the top 12 and 8 from the bottom 12 (as have Boro).

This compares with Rams 6 and 6.

Agree with what you're saying but we seem to bottle out when we have the chance to jump into a more favourable position. Like last season we seem to get dizzy if we're to far up the table. If we get to the top two before 2016 it will be interesting to see if we can stay there!

Every year there seems to be a team that surprises everyone and you'd have to guess that it's Brighton so far. There's no reason why they can't get promoted, everything's in place for them. Decent fan base, decent manager, good squad, brilliant stadium and they're financially stable.

All I'm concerned about when we play them is will we beat them? And I'm fairly certain we will. Mainly because I think we can beat anyone in the league (and a few of the teams in the Prem!). Focus on our own results, let Brighton have second place

RamBam Great post very sensibly worked out Brighton have some very good players.Has for ourselves many more displays like at Blackburn then we could struggle for a playoff spot.After spending £75 on travel,ticket .food and drink I was disgusted by our display and I am not one who expects to win every game All Blackburn needed to do was to drop their second striker back 10 yards to stop Martin and we were finished we hadn'.t a clue how to counter it I got slated on here when I said Butterfield needed dropping well the answer was there for all to see Don't think I dare mention Ince to many on here insist hes a match winner.I know a point away is always a good point (not deserved ) but performance is also a good indicator to how your season is likely to end

This performance/result was always going to produce knee jerk reactions especially after how convincing we looked against Wolves. For you Mistaram it was made worse by the high costs etc attached but thats football my friend. Chelsea have been woeful at times this season but I fully expect them to finish top 3 still. It's true that teams that nullify Martin invariably nullify Derby so would be nice to see an alternative strategy. We didn't concede and if you don't concede you can't lose. Glass half full for me
