I watched an old episode of Love thy neighbour last night. Blimey how attitudes have changed since that was aired. Mind you, in that, both give as good as they get.

Yes indeed, and it will always be a difficult subject so what can we do as fans who still believe in free speech ?Originally Posted by Oldtimeram
Im all for staying within certain boundaries of course but there has to be a limit both ways, dont you all think ?

Thanks for that Rob...I think...always good to resolve things without recourse to abuse.
Unfortunately I have to be elsewhere for the Rotherham game but another time hopefully and I agree, written forums can be restricting and face to face is better, providing you and OTR aren't going to 'pounce' on me. ;-)
Have to say, I still agree 100% with Triz's second paragraph this morning. I know he can be a sarcastic sod on occasions but I think he's put it very well.
As for Acido - is there really someone who has posted more than Rats? - and the old 'freespeech' and 'live and let live' argument. Isn't that all fine and dandy until what you 'freely' say and how you choose to live impinges on the freedom and well being of others?
At my age and with a dodgy hip, I haven't got a pounce in me. And as for OTR...............Originally Posted by AnagRam

Yes of course and thats what I mean by it has to go both ways, free speech is one thing but if its deliberately meant to be offensive and/or insulting then I dont agree with it then. Like I said I havent read what Eranio said so Im not offering any comments either way on his sacking.Originally Posted by AnagRam
Well, no need for me to go through it all again Acido...it's all there in the attachment to ManofPride's opening post, make your own mind up.
Fair enough Anag, Im just sitting on the fence here like I often do
Ive heard it said that we should just accept this because Stef Eranio is Italian, and apparently its just the way they are in Italy. We could say that though about Paolo Di Canio & the ex-politician Silvio Berlusconi as well couldnt we!!
And speaking of verbal gaffs, where is Memyself&I these days ?![]()
