How is he going to prove me wrong when there's no way he can fit into the team? He doesn't fit the system and hasn't looked like Championship quality, let alone Premier League.

Here we go, another "you're not a real supporter if you dare say anything bad about the team you support" supporter. Not everyone's deluded enough to see everything through rose-tinted glasses as you.

I couldn't agree more. At Villa Weimann, Agbonlahor and Benteke worked well for a bit in an attacking trio. Weimann was on the right in that so maybe if Weimann played on the right and Russell on the left would work. Either way he's looked completely lost on the left.

And someone's going to come spouting off saying "his natural posi

Spot on paulo...and what happens RamBam, when Martin is injured, suspended or - and it does happen - isn't playing well? What about when we need to, heaven forbid, change 'the system' and have a plan B or even C? We'll need a player with pace who plays down the middle, so let's hope Weimann can build on the good things at Huddersfield and go on to develop some confidence and become a real asset. As for being entitled to criticise, of course everyone is... did wonders for Christie last year didn't it...and is five hours before kick off really 'appropriate' or helpful?

Weimann could not play up front on his own. If that were to happen then Bent would be first in line to replace him.

If Martin was out for a sustained period I imagine we might go to a narrow 442 with Bent and Weiman together up front

Or possibly 4312 with Ince in behind the front 2.

Point is this is a viable plan B which we didnt really have whn Martin was lost last year (and then Bent).

Weimann isnt being played in his best position because Plan A isnt broken; but we are only one bad tackle away from losing Martin for a season. Just because he hasnt featured much in the girst few matches of a long season does not make him a bad buy.

[quote="RamBamFan"]So with Ince's injury, I would imagine it means Weimann comes into the fold on the left (with Johnny moving to the right). I've been giving him some right s*** on this board ever since the season started so I have one request Mr. Weimann. Prove me wrong! Prove that you have a little bit more about you that just running around like a headless chicken (admittedly quite quickly). Last time you had the chance you were rather poor to say the least. This is your chance to make your mark and maybe oust Incey from the team (who himself hasn't been to great thus far either).

He's coming up against Lewis Buxton who's not a great player. He's one of the main targets for abuse up at Rotherham, and he never has been too quick. I can't think of a better chance for him to show that the £2.75 million we spent on his was for more than keeping the bench exceptionally warm.

So there you go Andreas. The mark is there. Step up to it. Prove me wrong. You m
