[quote="jardi"] My first and main point is this: I don't think QOS have ever had a better board of directors in their history, and we should be mindful that those same directors decided to wipe the slate of debt clean, and we should be forever grateful, - not slagging them off at every opportunity. OK - so I'm a crawler, - but its also a fact.

To that end, why on earth is there such a desperate rush to have fan representation on the Board? Surely, the Trust should try to influence the BOD through the various mediums such as this particular platform?

If the Trust were successful in raising the prescribed capital, they would be a lone voice in a Boardroom, and their views could quite easily be voted out regardless, - so far better to quietly chip away and have the overwhelming backing of the clubs support rather than a wee bit of power that ultimately could be meaningless.

Five years ago was the time for a fan representative on the Board, - but now is

Thanks palmylad, I'm not anti board and maybe they will allow fan representatives someday. Maybe the trust could set up regular meetings to discuss issues.

    Could you advise please Supablue:-

    1) what evidence you have to support an allegation that the current board see themselves as better than the ordinary fan?

    2) in the of transparency what is your vested interest in this? Do you have some sort of role within Queens Trust?

On a more general point for anyone. Has some sort of written document been published stating:-

    a) What is the objective of having some sort of Queens Trust member on the board?
    b) What will be process behind deciding who in the Queens Trust would be board representative?
    c) What would be the duration of the term of office for such a representative?

I must confess I find this suggestion staggering about having a fans representation on the board. As others have said just 5 ye

There really is some bizarre thoughts on this, I don't have a vested interest in this, just think it's a good idea for fans to have a say in the running of a football club, crazy isn't it.

We, the fans ,also put money into the club through season ticket sales, merchandise, prize draws and pay at the gate, some also volunteered to clear weeds etc.

I just don't get why any fan would be against having a fan on the board.

As for Queens Trust having expertise on running a club, what qualifications do the current board have?

There will be fans who are business people, professional people, sports people and even ex players who could give advice.

As for the allegations of the BOD thinking they are better than fans is the lengths they went to to stop fans becoming board members.
