I was at a concert in Chester.....now I know why I saw folk sat outside the pubs wearing England and Welsh football shirts when we came out....Did we win or lose?

I do not care a monkeys about England anymore to be honest.

I thought it was a great game, England played really well and should have won easily. IMO this England team is the best since 66.

I have you about right there... The manager will hold them back but I thought last night was a decent performance.

Sterling, why did he start... No end product, runs into dead ends and cannot finish.

Agree on lot of what is said here - particularly about Sterling. He enjoyed one season at Liverpool when Suarez gave him more space than he knew what to do with but since then he has been another headless winger with no end product. More Franz Carr than Beckenbauer. I thought we generally played well but for all our possession and pretty work we didn't really create that many 'oooh' chances. Tactically, I also thought we pushed on them a bit much, they had two old CBs that we should have let wander up the pitch a bit more before making them turn and run. But a good performance in general, better than I have seen for a while - still likely short of being a winning team but more in that first half than we have done for a few tournaments combined.

Not sure I buy the conservative manager bit though - I think he has laid out a pretty aggressive structure for the campaign and saw little about yesterday to suggest he is hamstringing them.
