    Corky's Eurorant

I know goalkeepers are thick but does he have to be that thick? Effing and jeffing on camera in the tunnel. "Come on lads, move the effin ball". Er no Joe, move yer feckin arse. Fantastic idea to stand to one side to leave a huge tempting gap to sucker Bale into shooting at. Only he scored in that huge tempting gap so maybe that tactical judgement was an error then? That could have cost us big time. Also questions for me over his positioning for the Russia goal. No Mans Land I think that prosition is called.

Generally lacking in ideas, energyless, almost complacent. How many times did Walker get to the byline and then double back presumably because no one was taking a chance to get in the box. Much better second half and hopefully Roy realises Sterling and Kane need putting on the first plane back home on those two performances. Not much use with around 70% possession if you hardly create a chance with it. But then we have seen that before somewhere last season.

Eurorant over (for the time being).

Heard a story that fans were having a whip round to buy Sterling an air ticket home. Notwithstanding that I shall watch the match tomorrow evening and will await your comments Corkus. By the way I love to have my gardens colourful in the Summer, even Red Geraniums get a chance from me. However I have had a couple of "Mindens" stripped bare while I was away. Is it true that a plague of immigrant moths have been stripping plants, not necessarily Pigeons as we discussed ?

Beware the Diamondback moth - it is being waited for with dreaded anticipation up here in these parts.

"The diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella), sometimes called cabbage moth, is a European moth believed to originate in the Mediterranean region that has since spread worldwide. The moth is highly fecund, and is capable of migrating long distances."

    Highly fecund? I blame Scoulari.

Can only hope. Drinkwater should be in squad and it's so obvious that Vardy should start it hurts.

England so far just as expected. Poor in both games imo with Rooney and Walker the only players that impressed me.
Not played anyone of note yet so I will reserve final judgement until we have played Spain or Italy for a real test.
Mind you I am a bit of a misery when it comes to England's teams in most sports. It seems to me you can usually rely on them to let you down when the going gets tough. On the rare occasions we do do well the response is manic and OTT and sets us up for the next downfall. A bit like Pompey to be honest.

Oh so glad regarding Ronaldo missing that penalty. Especially after he threw himself to the ground 'violently' trying to get one.. I thought it annoying the way Ronaldo is always in the referees ear but best of all...............Fancy Portugal not winning !

Ronaldo - love him. Best player in the world in my view. Scoring over 50 goals a season for the last five years when a twenty goal a season striker is a rare find.
