It's all going to kick off in England !! Some serious fecked up folk down there.
No offence but your post is mostly preening hysterical conjecture (not surprised to read something like this on here as I've been reading drivel far worse than this on social media since).
The UK is still one of the most tolerant and open countries in the world, regardless of how much it suits your prejudices and narrative to suggest that the contrary is true (not without its problems obviously...name me somewhere that is). Unfortunately there may be isolated cases of bigotry and violence towards minorities. Individuals and groups who perpetrate such acts should be brought to account before the law. We have enshrined protection of minorities within our legal system.
If the left ceded control of the debate to the right then that is a symptom of both incredibly weak leadership and the ambivalent and uninspiring position taken by the left wing elites with regards to Europe which was vastly at odds with the views of the people they purport to represent. Europe has been a pet project of the Left since Kinnock and the reason the Right has been able to take control of this debate is due to the fact that the Left has defined its position based on opposition to its enemies rather than taking a principled stance. And you appear to be proposing the same again. "I can see the merits of Lexit but it's more important that we oppose the Right wingers" <sigh>.
You can spend hours circle jerking over whether ordinary folk are angry over immigration or whether its really 'neoliberalism' or 'austerity' that is to blame. These are all symptoms of globalism. Immigration has affected the lives of ordinary people in parts of the country and trying to deflect that by blaming 'the Right' is just a way for the Left to absolve itself of responsibility.
But you are certainly right on one count - the Left is at risk of letting this incredibly significant period of change pass it by with negligible influence in its outcome. Once Corbyn is gone (which looks like it will happen sooner rather than later) Labour will need someone who is prepared to face the reality of the situation and take a pragmatic view of the Left's commitment towards the failing European project. If not (and the Tories manage to balls up the negotiations) I don't think you can rule out Labour making further losses to UKIP.
As their world comes crashing down around them, the line is - "sorry folks that's not what we meant, you must have misunderstood!"
