Been advised to short sell Deutsche Bank shares. Any opinions Kempo ?
Don't be shy....Keep selling..The satellites have 'crashed'and now they will 'burn'.
Of course if you think launching empty tin cans into space is a money spinner you may take an alternative view but it's not.
Well done to TS if he followed my advice..maybe a couple of strikers on the way with the profits.
Still time PeteW...still time!

I posted last week that Deutsche may do a Lehman's so from that perspective it would be a great idea...
However....Do not even dream of shorting not even Avanti unless you are very experienced, got very deep pockets and b..alls of steel...Even then some w..anker will come along and takeover the dog you are shorting just to f..u@@ you up.
The call to short Deutsche has come a bit late for my liking so I'm not touching it....also...it would be a bit like praying for World economic chaos with multiple banking collapses and an extension of world poverty!.....
My advice is put your feet up, get a nice pair of comfy slippers and watch box sets of Benidorm but the only problem is it lacks a touch of excitement but sensible it is.

Kempo, I take it that your recommendation of actually BUYING Benidorm is something that the programme itself lacks...a joke. One can studiously avoid the programme on ITV and better still, FOR FREE.
Timbertop, my advice would be to put your feet up with a box set of Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle.
Kempo, I take it that you have forgiven my impertinence of voting LEAVE and are up and about again, ducking and diving, making money again. Not of course for purely monetary gain but simply for the buzz. I've yet to find one of my friends who have voted LEAVE but then they are only looking out for themselves in the short term rather than the benefits to their offspring in the long term.
Btw I thought I spotted you naked and daubed in blue on the news today as part of Spencer Tunick's latest work of contemporary Art. He's the American who gets lots of people to get their kit off in an urban setting whilst he photographs them and is celebrated (unjustly?) for it. The latest was to plug himself and Hull (as a by-product) before it becomes City of Culture in 2017. But how did I recognise you midst a writhing sea of 3,200 bodies?
Perhaps it was because of your body beautiful? I'll let others judge though Geetar and Monty don't get a vote for obvious reasons.
Dixons/Carphone announced record profits to the city for last year.... shame it coincided and was buried by the brexit....
Result from the city said people will be frugal and stay away from the retail division....this had an immediate effect showing a rapid downturn for D/C and their shares plummeted....
Last December they sat at £5 and slightly dropped up to May then the city announcement saw them plummet to £2.44....now those savvy enough to realise the scare mongering from the city on the retail sector would have realised D/C's profits year on year were definitely worth a punt at £2.44.....one week later at £3.16 made this a good investment but be quick if you want in as they will climb again.....
Well done Kempo. Even I have been shocked at the fall in Avanti. Kempo, I once owned these shares when from memory when they were north of £7 and sold out at something like £3.50. Not one of my best but I averaged in at about £5/£6. I was told that 2017 would be the year that Avn broke into profit but this debt riddled company is looking poorly, especially given the prospect of a further global slowdown and QE. Bond issuance at a coupon rate of 10% is not cheap given their position. They will need to raise more debt and at the cost of further equity price dilution so I think you may be correct with your assumptions. Pity, don't like to see innovative companies poorly run and wither but to be fair, the Avn board has appeared to be less than open with information and delusional in their projections. Williams perhaps blags his way through life but I must say when Paul Walsh ex Diageo man became chairman, I thought finances in particular would improve.
Hope you have bought in to some gold producers Kempo?
I am still trying to get the four shades of blue paint off zilzal after my jaunt up to the cultural city.
Someone will tell me that Hull has a university next!
I have not got over the Leave vote as of now zilzal but am working on it.
Myself and Mr Branson holding a short skirted air hostess upside down are going to meet with Theresa about our latest campaign Vote Renege so there is some hope.
I am also going to advice Theresa re how to make decisions related to a big red button whilst in the throes of an insulin induced hypoglycaemic attack and also give a talk on the pros and cons of adopting an immigrant family to give her a bit more stake holder ability.
I did speak to someone called Angela last week on how to make friends and influence people and made a few alterations to her CV especially re her running the common room bar petty cash tin at Uni.
Back to Benidorm...I do find it a fairly accurate depictment of the lower orders on holiday and particularly like the leathery skinned orange lady in a mobility scooter.
I have an exciting week ahead..on Monday I undergo a second attempt to get my new £2700 molar to actually fit and Wednesday I nip to the pain clinic for another trigger point injection thing into my groin which is free but won't help my mastication.
Nice to see Brin representing the common man and share tipping...is this the modern equivalent of the shoeshine boy story being the predictor of impending market doom?
Maybe The Big Short is a go.
I don't understand gold other than everyone always seems to be fleeing to it and my tipping on here has shown me that recognising failures rather than successes is my forte.
I am an avid follower of Tom Winnifrith, the man they love to hate and if he says sell then it's worth having a good look..saves a lot of research trouble and he has his own gang of very rich bears writing for him..That's my formula for success..Piggy back someone else's idea!
Tom Winnifrith is a skunk IMO. I have him to thank for the Avn losses and quite a few more! That was then and when his beloved Rivington Street Holdings took him down. I could not have been happier. TW was the biggest bull of Avanti at the time and regularly fought with Simon Cawkwell who as you are no doubt aware, is a prolific and successful shorter who called Avn down, time and time again. SC anialated TW. Fun to watch.
For my part, I rely on no one any more, just take in the info and do my own research. Safer and more profitable way for me. There again I do live by the concept of buying and holding forever, with the increasing dividend philosophy being my main driver. Saves time, is less worry and produces an increasing annual income. Boring but works. Avoiding "the noise" is also key.
Good luck with your shorts Kempo. There will be plenty of opportunities I'm sure following Brexit.
I enjoyed Brexit. Democracy returned 😜
Wow
Reading these threads is making my brain hurt.
I'm sure there's some good advice in it somewhere.
