Remember Lyle Taylor having a similar goal record up there and ended up doing nothing in league 1 with the Blades and then found his natural level when he started scoring with Wimbledon in league 2. I think if theres one striker in Scotland we should go for who doesn't play for Celtic or Rangers then its Aberdeens Adam Rooney for me.

I don't recommend any old idiot and if you care to check back you will see I was always against either May or Tubbs. Hemmings is quality and you can apologise to me in a year or two when
    he moves for several million.
    Gino

Not the same at all. Pogba maintained a high standard when he was transferred. Hemmings started at non league standard, was tried in the lower leagues, failed and was sent back.

Kane Hemmings didnt pull up many trees at Oakwell, and it was really surprising when I heard he was a top scorer when he went up to Dundee. I think it shows how poor the Scotch league is though as hes only good for Lg One level in England.

What isn't being grasped here is that these are the sort of players Rotherham have to take a risk on. We can't attract the "established" championship goal scorers. We have to take a gamble on ones from the lower leagues that have potential.

We did that with Adam Le Fondre back in the day. I can't remember the fee we paid but I think it was 150k. Well that was back in the division two days and a lot of money in that context. What Tony Stewart and seemingly Stubbs need to realise is that to operate at that level in the championship you need to spend 800k plus and back it with wages. It's not a lot at championship level. If we haven't got that then fair enough but that's the ticket.

Now, in terms of targets, I would go to Wolves and offer 1.5 million for Dicko. Best striker I've ever seen at RUFC. Scored goals and Championship level, just returning from injury and a club with money where he may not feature again. It's a gamble, it may not get back to the level before his injury but if he does well......
