    Queens Mad - The Future

With the new format on the Message Board now fully up and running there are plans for the Home Page to be completely revamped soon.

However visitor numbers continue to fall due to apathy and pressure from Social Media.

We as editors and admins are trying hard to promote the site but are coming under increasing pressure from DSG the company who run Queens Mad, to improve things

We have been told to increase the number of news articles for August which for a relatively small club for Queens is a big ask.

We have been supported by a hard core of punters over the years but we need more support.

All supporters of Queen of the South have a choice - if they wish Queens's only independent site with Message Board to survive they must be willing to support it by more views and postings.

Queens Mad will close at the end of August after 15 years unless there is a big improvement in support.

that would be a real shame . This site is ***** to some Queens supporters who prefer it to the P&B site

Seems rather severe shutting it down

That would be a great shame if the Mad site was to close down. I have seen the apathy over the last few years and it looks like it will finish us off now .

That's true Johnny . Personally , can't really stomach Pie and Bovril as some of the posters - I feel- are very ' different' kind of Queens supporters to most on here . Some who get a real kick out of the team failing and I will never ever understand this as long as I can draw breath. Each to their own though and I respect that fact.

Unfortunately it's has its share of zoomers like every other football forum . There's a few who only ever slag off Queens and NEVER praise when praise is due

Would be huge shame if Queens fans lost an alternative to Pie and Bovril.
Clearly has been obvious for awhile that few post on he board I'm sure alot like my self tend to look in without posting. Need to make effort to change that.

I noticed there is indeed a culture of 'voyeurs ' to look in and read whatever's on without putting their own thoughts down. People from my work will say ' I see you were saying blah, blah, blah on the Mad site and I think to myself " why don't they put their owns views down ". As said , it will be a great shame if this site is closed down as there isn't really a QoS alternative bar the P+B one There will be some good posters lost forever unfortunately.

I will be sorry to see the site close as there are generally well constructed threads to review and comment upon especially when compared to the P & B site which can be full of title tattle. Perhaps as JR suggests that some of the voyeurs actually contribute we could change the decision to shut down. Lets hope so.
