    I did forget the save by Carson about 1 minute in to the second half...I did see it but from the other end of the ground so didn't quite appreciate how good it was. I gave Bryson 8 because he did the job that he was presumably asked to do...but playing in such a deep role reduces his potential impact so much.

    Basically the midfield was all wrong. We had no symmetry, or balance or possession. The thing that did it was the set up of the team. Unless Pearson learns quickly, we are destined to see an already mature and seasoned team unravel. That has been my fear from the point that Pearson was appointed. As Mistaram says, why doesn't he just have a chat with Darren Wassall...he could learn a thing or two. I suspect he won't though;

    Not sure I can sit through many more displays like that though.
    Spot on.. I'm still not over Clement going..

    Yet Clement made some strange decisions and how many games was the build up great with no end product? The draw away to Wednesday sticks in my mind as just one such example.

    Ella I understand your opinion of Pearson, I don't know the guy but he does have a strange misdemeanour and has acted very strangely over the years, but then being a football manager is a pressure job, you have 20K plus people who all know better than the manager and 90 mins in which to express that verbally!! What other job do your mistakes and judgements get scrutinised so publicly? Having said that there is much to improve and nobody knows Pearson's reasoning for his selection on Saturday? Maybe he wanted to demonstrate to those with the purse strings just how poor some of those expensive buys are?

    I would hope that he takes on board Powell and Phillips' views and is not that daft as to not talk with Wassall surely? Stubborness is not necessarily a bad trait (I believe Clough Snr was famous for disregarding others views!)? He does have achievements, promotion and then keeping the side from being relegated the next year, so clearly isn't a fool, but I do expect a more solid pragmatic approach from him.

    Early days but he must know that Derby fans will not hold back in expressing their views at matches and IF he played the same team again, then I'd question his sanity!

    Wassall was of course very harshly dealt with by some fans. Those same fans are I suspect the ones who are now blowing warm smoke up Mr P's glutus maximi. And yet...Mr P in my book, is not quite the all-knowing footballing philosopher that some people may think. And evidence to support views that I have accumulated on the evidence of the past was presented on Saturday when he selected that team...My son Edward who is 13 knew that it was just a botched effort and we all (my 2 sons and I) braced ourselves for a pile of ...frankly; and that's what we saw.

    I truly hope Mr Pearson can see the error of his ways...when he starts to get it right I will be the first to say so...but I fear for the squad. My fear is that we will start to see a demolition job because I have a sense that Mr P is always very clear that he is right all along the way...
    Possibly some comfort in Pearson's comments that he will only bring in players if they are better than what we already have and add value to the squad? Does not suggest he intends to rip up the team.

    Whilst I agree its not pretty, we have had three years of playing in a certain fashion and fallen short each time, so maybe tweaks are needed?
