It's Mo's turn next in the 5,000 metres.

    Come on Mo

Wow, he's buzzing and he can't wait to get going

WOW! What an athlete he is!

They were queueing up behind him but every time someone tried to pass him he just quickened up and went away again. BRILLIANT!

    That's another gold for G.B.

The count is now 27 gold, 22 silver, and 16 bronze.

    Games over!

What an absolutely fantastic achievement by all the British athletes, not just the big names but all those that won unexpected medals in some of the 'lesser' sports.

Per capita per medal we must be head and shoulders above anywhere else in the world. Some surprises when you look through the medal table e.g. Portugal (one bronze).

Are GB's achievements getting any airtime over there CA?
First time ever that a host has increased its number of medals in the next Olympics.

Just shows what a talented country we live in, a tiny little island of ours finishing 2nd in the overall table again over big populated countries such as China, Russia ect is amazing, just a shame we crap at football.

Short answer to that Tony is no, although in all honesty I had to abandon watching their main coverage on NBC because it was either 3 hours tape delayed (East coast saw it live, West coast didn't) or even when they did have live coverage it was so US centric it was making me sick e.g they focused so much on the American woman's celebration on winning the triathlon that they missed the two Brits fighting it out for the bronze.

Thankfully I live near the Canadian border and so am able to get CBC and their coverage was pretty good.

Must dash as NBC are now showing the men's marathon, just as the closing ceremony begins which we'll be able to watch in 4 hours

6 months ban for Hope Solo from US Women's Soccer for her comments. Couldn't happen to a nicer person
