it is if you like to mix sport with politics, which you cyberbritnats seems overly-keen to do. if England wants to admit teams into the Olympics, then go the same way as the Commonwealth games and have separate teams for the separate countries, rather than one which represents a political union.

Nah, sport and politics don't mix. The Commenwealth games are different as you know. The Olympics we are as a Union, team GB and I think we should have a fitba team there

how are they different? Just cos, I suppose is the answer. Scotland isn't even a member of the British Commonwealth as it never gained its independence from England, which is the broad qualification criteria as far as I know, so why it is even in it. The reason England compete as England in that is because they like to win things as England, not as GB. Team GB for cricket, not a hope in hell. Take players from the other nations, and call them English. Yes, please. If you want England to have an under-23s woman's football team in the Olympics so much, vote Yes in the next independence referendum

I see bodie bailed on the thread when the heat was turned up will he comment on the disgraceful decision by England to segregate the athletes by who won gold and who are just diddies. Typical elitism from England. Hopefully Team Scotland will be all-inclusive in Tokyo.
